H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center
The 70,000-square-foot Luhrs Center draws patrons from communities near and far. The sweeping sloped-glass facade above the main entrance makes the building an instant landmark. By day, light streams into the three-story theatre lobby. By night, the interior lights transform the lobby into a stage and theatergoers into actors as they move about the facility.
The Center houses a 1,500-seat concert hall and proscenium theater. Academic facilities for the university's music department include classrooms, teaching labs, rehearsal and practice rooms, and faculty offices.
