Muhlenberg College - Trexler Pavilion
Trexler Pavilion for the Performing Arts
The Trexler Pavilion for Theater and Dance celebrates the artistic integrity and enormous success of performing arts at Muhlenberg College. The new 44,000 square-foot building incorporates three performance stages that are linked by the geometry of a circular glass shell, with a transparent mantle that contains the circulation space for all three venues. There also is ample and flexible studio and theater space to accommodate essential technical, administrative, and rehearsal activities.
The pavilion is a beacon at night, drawing the college community and neighbors to be part of a dynamic arts program. It was conceived as a piece of sculpture, destined to be a landmark. The structure can take on changing qualities depending on the time, day, and season in which it is seen.
