Hoover Dam Bypass Colorado River Bridge
Arizona/Nevada
The Colorado River Bridge, a new 1,800 foot-long signature bridge, is the centerpiece of the Hoover Dam Bypass Project. H2L2 is providing a unifying, context-sensitive aesthetic in final design services for the entire 3.5 mile-long corridor between Arizona and Nevada. In addition to the main river span, the project includes two interchanges, wildlife overpasses, a tunnel overpass, viaducts, mainline structures, retaining walls, a scenic overlook, and landscape restoration.
The Hoover Support Team comprises professionals from a joint venture of HDR Engineering, T.Y. Lin International, Sverdrup Civil, Inc., and supporting consultants. H2L2 worked closely with all parties and coordinated its efforts with the Design Advisory Committee and the National Parks Service, as the new bridge and bypass is located on park property.
