Rowan University commissioned H2L2 to prepare a Campus Development Plan that aggressively looked out over the next decade, creating a vision for the future. The plan incorporated landscaping and construction recommendations, focusing on issues that ranged from safety to aesthetics. The primary task was to analyze existing campus conditions and propose overall improvements to the university environment and the student experience.
A series of studies identified specific recommendations for localized areas of the campus. The recommendations touched on a variety of improvements, including solutions for integrating a network of open spaces throughout the campus, organizing pedestrian and vehicular circulation routes, providing additional parking areas, and options for better lighting and signage. Budget estimates and a phasing plan were also included as part of the final report.
